Doxycycline (as Monohydrate)
Infections caused by doxycycline sensitive organisms. These include infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract, musculoskeletal system, genitourinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, skin and soft tissues. Doxycycline is the tetracycline of choice in patients with kidney dysfunction.
The absorption of doxycycline may be affected by the presence of antacids containing aluminium, calcium and magnesium salts. Use of antacids should therefore be avoided by patients receiving doxycycline.
